SEO and Content Systems

Technical SEO, topic architecture and editorial systems that compound. Programmatic and AI-assisted approaches only where they genuinely fit.

01 / Friction

The problem this solves

Content is published without a system, so it neither ranks nor supports sales, and search visibility depends on luck.

Typical warning signs

  • Articles are published ad hoc with no topic architecture behind them.
  • Rankings dropped after a redesign or migration and never recovered.
  • Technical issues sit unfixed because nobody owns them.
  • Content is written for keywords instead of buyers.
  • AI-generated content was published at volume and quality collapsed.

02 / Change

Outcomes it is designed to create

  • A technical foundation that lets content rank at its true potential.
  • Topic clusters aligned with what buyers actually search at each stage.
  • An editorial workflow the team can sustain, with AI assistance governed properly.
  • Measurement that connects organic traffic to pipeline, not just sessions.

Content as a system, not a lottery

Organic growth compounds when three layers work together: a technically sound site, a topic architecture that matches buyer intent, and an editorial system that publishes consistently at quality. Remove any one and the other two underdeliver.

I work across all three, including the automation layer: I have built n8n systems that generate regionalised content drafts for account-based marketing, with structure validation and human approval built in. That experience cuts both ways: I know exactly where AI-assisted content helps and where it quietly destroys a domain’s credibility.

What the engagement covers

Technical SEO. Fixed issues, not a PDF of findings.

  • Crawl and index audits, Core Web Vitals, structured data.
  • Canonical hygiene and duplicate resolution.
  • Fix implementation — the work, not just the report.

Search strategy. Keywords mapped to intent and buying stage.

  • Prioritised by realistic ability to rank.
  • Weighted by the value of the visitor, not search volume alone.
  • Aligned to where the buyer is in their decision.

Content architecture. Designed as a system, so every article compounds.

  • Topic clusters and defined page types.
  • Internal linking that funnels authority to converting pages.
  • Every new piece strengthens the pages that convert.

Editorial workflow. A cadence the team can actually sustain.

  1. Briefs and drafting standards so quality is repeatable.
  2. Review gates before anything publishes.
  3. AI assistance with governance: structured prompts, validation, human approval.

Migration SEO. Protecting rankings through the riskiest moment in a site’s life.

  • URL inventories and complete redirect maps.
  • Metadata preservation across the move.
  • Post-launch monitoring for redesigns and replatforms.

Measurement. Content judged on business results.

  • Organic performance reported against pipeline contribution.
  • Not vanity traffic — revenue relevance.
  • So content earns its budget.

Frequently asked questions

Do you do programmatic SEO?

Only when the data justifies it. Programmatic pages work when there is a genuine dataset behind them and real search demand for each variant, as in a travel or directory context. Used without that, they are doorway pages and a penalty risk. I have built programmatic systems and I am equally comfortable advising against them.

How do you use AI in content?

For research, structure, drafts and regionalisation inside a governed workflow with human editing and approval, the same approach I have written about publicly. AI-at-volume without governance is how sites lose their rankings.
